Travel | Hwang Saeng Ga: The Best Galguksoo and Mandoo In Town

By huayyu - 2/05/2017

I am not sure if I am being biased but this is really by far the best Galguksoo (knife-cut noodles) and Mandoo (dumplings) that I have tasted.  This restaurant is famous for its very large handmade dumplings and knife-cut noodles.  It is just across the street from where the museum is located.  You should exit the palace at the museum side and cross the street.

The yellow highlight on the map is the restaurant.  The red line is where you could exit from the museum.

The noodles are chewy and you could feel the warmth of the soup all over your body.  I am recommending this restaurant especially to those who like thick noodles.  This is best during cold days.  I would suggest avoiding lunch or dinner as the place gets crowded and you should expect a line in front of the restaurant.
